this film had such an interesting concept—a robotic dog with military technology and a soft side—but it lacked in depth. still, i liked the friendship between the boy and A-X-L, and it had some fun moments. it could've used further plot development, but it's still a good watch!

Fun movie for the whole family. Loved the robotic dog! Although this movie doesn’t have much depth, and is predictable along the way, it is still something fun to sit down with the family and watch and cheer on a robotic dog named A-X-L!

Family proof and kinda fun to watch

A 4.5. It’s a "watch it if it's on cable" kind of movie. It has some neat visuals, but you won't remember much of the plot by the next morning.

I’m not gonna pretend like this is peak cinema or anything but I thought this was a solid movie. It’s well acted, somewhat cornily written, and the effects for its budget are good. Lacks depth but I think it’s a bit underrated.

Wast expecting to actually love this movie as much as I did. It was so beautifully done. The relationship between Axel and the boy (forgot his name lol) is soo cute. Absolutely adored this movie. 10/10.

If you liked Short Circuit or Iron Giant, it hits similar emotional notes, just with less finesse. The concept of a military-grade robo-dog befriending a teen was cool idea. Dialogue feels stiff and the stakes never really build. It's not terrible.

I personally don’t understand low rating. As a dog lover, I can say it worse it
