without reading any synopsis or watching any trailers, i expected a low budget, cheesy sci-fi movie about aliens or something. instead, i got an abstract, terrifying glimpse at what *could* be and what *is* that has induced in me intense existential dread. “no one said or did anything to stop them” ugh CHILLS! this was so good

A scary precautionary tale about a potential future. This wasn’t the film I thought it was , but it was still very insightful. It was well-made, the story was well presented, it was a good watch.

Plot is meh. Maybe I didn’t give it enough time, but I was bored 30 minutes in. Half of the time watched were repurposed political clips, felt lazy.

This is something I haven’t seen before. It’s a movie but also a documentary. It’s interesting to watch how it’s tied together but it’s still just kind of meh.

4/10, The documentary part was great and interesting. The weird fake shit in between it was boring and annoying.

I recommend this film for anyone to have a look at over the age of 18. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about this film when it came out! Serves as a true and scary reminder of how we as civilians live in the most rapid paced, dangerous & competitive society.

Did not expect this at all. Very true what it was saying. Technically is not our friend.

BORINGGG, this gave more documentary than movie and although the concept was interesting its was poorly executed. The first 30mins are just political talk/videos and i honestly couldn’t get past it, and i really tried, i did. as a sci-fi fan this sucked ass!! 0/10

This movie is a documentary dressed like a sci fi movie. Extremely well done, cautioning what a world without democracy would look like. Without freedom of self and the very big distinction between the rich and the poor, if this movie doesn’t help turn the tide, nothing will.

Use of a mixed film format drives the narrative of this dystopian film that uses both modern socio-political & environmental issues that build to the inevitable conclusion of a scorched earth & society. If Handmaids Tale freaks you out, this one will push you right over the edge.
