X-Men '97 Reviews

If you're even the tiniest bit of uninterested, you have to watch this. The character designs, animation, stories, editing, and soundtrack were incredible. I've always been a huge fan of X-Men more than anything in Marvel, and this just intensifies it. Episode 5 was when I knew this was amazing. I can't wait for more of it. It took me a bit to get locked in, but once I was locked in, I was LOCKED in. I also liked how complex things got, whether it was generic or not. It widened the target audience. The complexity as well as the emotion, from despair and serenity to affairs and anxiety.

Incredible!!! I’ve been watching each episode thus far every Wednesday on Disney+ it’s like being a kid all over with the rush of excitement, story telling and action.

The X-Men was, is, and always will the best thing to come out of comics books.

YOU. NEVER. SKIP. THE. ANIMATED. SERIES. INTRO. EVER.

So far it’s incredible, taking such big stories and placing them into 30 minutes of an episode which is amazing, because they do it so well

This is the best X-Men show ever created and I’ve seen all the X-Men shows

I can’t stop quoting rouge with her accent, it’s kind of alarming

Dare I say, I need more X Men, what a perfect way to end the series on MCU casting day !

i already loved Magneto before watching the series, i loved Magneto during the series, and now that i've finished the series, i love him even more

Finale sets up s2 really well and animation is beautiful

Damn this was great. They packed so much emotion, storytelling, and character change in one season of 30 min episodes. Full comic arcs are contained in a single episode but instead of feeling fast or rushed, it works—creating earned satisfaction and some damn good fights. Cyclops is finally done right!

Okay show I just can’t get over the animation style it feels so choppy and stilted. Aside from the fight scenes everything looks ai generated as if they used cg to cut corners and it looks like crap
