It's rare yet inevitable, but HBO does actually release some slop sometimes. I don't understand what the story is here, nor do I understand why this is considered one. I was waiting for something to pull me in, but by episode 5, it started feeling more like a chore to complete. Great cast, decent soundtrack, boring characters, soppy emotional cues, and lazy comedy. I know the American education system is mostly just a bunch of theatrics, but somehow, this managed to make it feel both under- and over-exaggerated.

Loved

A cozy, easy watch. Nothing you haven’t seen before, but mildly interesting enough to watch. It wasn’t meh, but like feels a bit too forward. I need a “it’ll do” option.

Steve is back with his “the office” type awkward comedy, which I loved btw. The jokes are intelligent and seem very natural as each character develops. Liked it very much

Didn’t love it, didn’t dislike it.. solid mid-tier show.. for me, the best parts are whenever Steve carrell is on screen

Such a great series! Not just an Amazing cast but an incredible script. So well written and performed. The lines well timed and delivered. I can’t wait for next season. Great show.

It was pretty good not my favorite show. Obviously the Dean was my favorite. Anything Steve Carell I will always support but this had to move a little faster. The husband of his daughter was terrible - bad annoying character. I’ll give it a go season 2 but only for Steve and the dean

I’m shocked but I did not vibe with this. I found every character but Rooster really interesting and engaging, but even they couldn’t keep me from being bored every time he was on screen
