Those About to Die

Iwan Rheon’s acting in this is the best I’ve seen him, always giving believable performances even when the plot makes him work for it.

Centering around a 'Peaky Blinders' like plot, gambling is all the creators of this show did. As expected from an 'Emmerich' production, everything from the script, characters and acting was soaked in exciting disappointment. Both rich like an emperor and poor like a slave, 'Those About To Die' either has expensive production and cheap writing, or penniless production with wealthy writing. Unfortunately, unlike 'Game of Thrones', or 'Peaky Blinders', this fails to create star-like characters. As spectacular as it might've gotten, I wouldn't want a season 2. At least they made it a 'fictional' fantasy scattered with sex and gore.

Painfully illogical and historically inaccurate, for a series called those about to die there are barely any gladiators in it. There are some good dialogue's and acting performances (especially Iwan Rheon) but just not enough to carry the quality. The CGI is awkward as well.

Good story but some pointless plots

Liked the cinematography, plot was interesting, watched for Hermes but the ending sucked so bad that it wasn't worth it

Pleasing amount of gayness
