This is a type of show that you really need to pay attention in order to enjoy it. When I first started watching this series, I wasn’t paying attention much and couldn’t finish an episode in one setting because I felt like it was too boring. But once you focus, you get into it.

I definitely didn’t like this as much as everyone else seemed to.

I’m sure it’s good I have it a shot but I just can’t do cop shows

This series follows the Baltimore police department in their high crimes department. It takes you through the wire taps and the gathering of evidence through them. The series also follows the personal lives of its detectives and criminals and how their lives are all woven together and what the cases do to them personally.

I give this series an 8.8 bags of 🍿 as I did enjoy the series as a whole. Seasons 3 and 4 I would say are my favorite but just good story telling along with a well written plot. I did watch this much later in life but the series still resonated with the world today so I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone.

Nobody talks about how hilarious this show is. This is one of the best works of American fiction this century so far. It might feel slow to some by today’s standards of television for some people, but it’s truly worth the time and commitment. This is easily my favorite ever.

Incredible start to finish. One of the most well written television shows I have ever seen. Season 1 connected to season 5. The build and breakdown. The endless cycle of the inner city and the politicians who seem to keep it that way to make themselves look good. It’s all there.

The Wire is a groundbreaking crime drama that masterfully blends gritty realism with thought-provoking social commentary. With top-notch writing, well-developed characters, and a compelling storyline, this series is a must-watch for fans of the genre. Highly recommended.

The best thing I think I’ve ever seen. Heartbreaking, exciting, thought inducing. Everyone is presented as they are, humans in the machine. Who is good and who is bad? What is right and what is wrong? Questions that don’t get answered yet still leave you at peace.

I liked it but didn’t love it. I think at points it can get slow and I just couldn’t get past that
