Absolutely heartbreaking, I kept tearing up throughout the entire series. I have read the book before watching so I knew what I was expecting but it really just tears your heart in two. Seeing Gita and Lali find love does stitch it back together.

This series reminded me of The diary of Anne Frank. It was very interesting and sad to see what the Jews went through/how they were treated. This series was amazingly put together. Also very educational.

Jeez so sad. very well done though. Sometimes I found myself scrolling on my phone during this but that’s more my fault than the show. Really showed the brutality of the Germans. So sad it’s based on a true story and I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma they had to suffer

What happened at Auschwitz is incomprehensible. Based on a true story. I also read the book which was excellent.

I've read most of this book and I dont feel like it matched up as well as it should have. not my favorite screen adaptation for sure

So many facets of the war!

So impressive. I've watched a lot of the Holocaust films and shows, but this one definitely moved me a lot. It shows how a person can do horrible things if that means they can live one more day. Thanks Lali for speaking out your story to the world❤️👼🏼

beautiful, heartbreaking, moving, inspiring. i can’t imagine going through ONE DAY of what these people went through. such a sad story, but filled with love and hope

One of the best series taking place during holocaust. It gives such a nuanced view both of the life before, during, and after. Really moving and great work with recreation of the main characters perspective

The book was fantastic and this mini series was good as well. The storyline is sad but it is nice to see the love story that came out of a terrible time in history.

Enjoyed the book more but this felt like a good portrayal. Highly recommend. Heartbreaking and an important reminder.

Read the book first and would highly recommend reading it.

But as for this - I don’t know if I really enjoyed it would be the right way to phrase it but yeah would again highly recommend watching this!
