This was such a good docuseries. I have never seen one where the person who everyone talked about is in it. This was amazingly done.

Okay so I have to be honest I did give up after the 2nd ep. I don’t think a single person filmed in this (except for Tiff) would last a day in my church and I find that kind of funny.

Is it surprising that like so many church, Hillsong was full of scandals. Nope! These religious leaders are just so full of themselves. They abuse, live luxurious life, cheat, try to cover up what they are doing wrong and lie. That is the contrary of what they preach.

Shocking and sad

I dunno, I just don’t think it was that well done.

I’m always fascinated by cults masquerading as Churches. I found it a really interesting watch.

Powerful, yet quite disturbing. Trigger warning for survivors of sexual abuse.

I’m all for exposing abusive and horrible religious institutions. And while this was insightful, I was losing interest at least a few times per episode. Glad they’re being exposed but ehhh…and also, why did it try to almost make me feel bad for Carl? 🤢

Helps fill in the gaps from the Discovery docuseries. Solid work.

It’s fine, if you’ve seen the previous Hillsong docs there won’t be many surprises here. If you haven’t, then this is a great watch. Either way, it’s worth a watch - interesting to hear the the situation told from the perspectives of Carl Lentz and his wife.

2 episodes too long - should have just been a doc film, 1 hr 45 mins that summarized these 4 episodes. Sad to say that the story gets repetitive (not to say it isn’t important) but I don’t need to know the background of these predators. Also, Karl has THE most punchable face…
