The Beauty is one of those shows that entertains you while quietly making you question the world we’ve created around beauty and perfection. It takes our obsession with looking younger, thinner, hotter, and seemingly flawless and pushes it to an extreme that feels disturbing—mostly because it doesn’t feel that far removed from reality.

What fascinated me most was the question it leaves behind: What if achieving physical perfection were actually possible? Would it finally cure our obsession with it… or would we simply find something new to hate about ourselves?

Maybe the real cure for our constant need for perfection isn’t finally becoming perfect, but seeing what happens when everyone has access to it. If beauty is no longer rare, desirable, or something that separates one person from another, does it eventually lose its power over us?

The Beauty makes you wonder whether we actually want to be beautiful—or whether we’re addicted to the feeling of being considered more beautiful than someone else. Dark, provocative, uncomfortable, and surprisingly thought-provoking, it turns our obsession with perfection into a mirror and forces us to look at what’s underneath.

And that might be the most disturbing part of the entire show.
