First of all, I don’t care whether this show is ”woke” or not, I don’t care for anyone’s politics, I’m just here to have fun and watch a Star wars show, that’s it.

That being said, I had high hopes for this show and early on I was one of the few people who actually defended it. I felt that the 2 first episodes started out pretty strong, but the poor writing began to show with episode 3 and the episodes that came after it.

The main issue I have with this show is how much potential it had, yet all that potential was soiled by constant plotholes and weird writing choices. The actors are honestly amazing and they did what they could with the script they were given, but the writing itself just does not hold up at all, no matter how good the actors are.

The writing is so mind boggling that it might even break the canon as a whole and make content that comes after The acolyte in the continuity now potentially no longer make sense. I won’t go into details since that’d spoil the show, but if you watch the show as a star wars fan you will likely know what I’m talking about once you get there.

The show has it’s moments, as I said, the acting is great, visuals are also good and the fight scenes are really cool. Unfortunately though this is not nearly enough to carry the show, I really want to like it, even love it, but I just can’t.

Terrible writing, terrible filming, bad acting, and a clear general hatred for older Star Wars. Made by people who do not give a shit about Star Wars and are willing to make terrible television to make a political point

i loved this one omg. characters were so good & manny jacinto got me giggling & kicking my feet raaahh i’m obsessed. super cool fight scenes as well & i really enjoyed the storyline/narrative even though it could be a bit predictable. very enjoyable show !

I’m absolutely a huge Star Wars fan been really excited to watch this series. But… it’s horrible the queerness in the movie makes no sense and doesn’t need to be in Star Wars. So sad to see what Star Wars is now

Disney Star Wars and horse shit… a tale as old as time💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

So unbelievably bad. I've failed to finish watching this three times now. The movies built such a strong fanbase, but as each project comes, more fans go. Whoever is in charge of planning these projects must have a vendetta against Star Wars or just against making money in general. It's painful and shameful since the hate usually goes toward people who aren't to blame. I gave up on Star Wars a while ago, but how do you fumble the Jedi? How? There's no weight behind them anymore, except for repetitive clichés and cringe. The real fans aren't younglings anymore, so why on Tatooine are they the target audience?

I have a lot to say about this show, good and bad, but I believe the positives outweigh the negatives.

The positives: The story itself was really well done and thought out, with well done twists and well developed characters. The action was some of, if not the best action I’ve ever seen in a piece of Star Wars media. The fights were extremely well choreographed, and I’ve been missing lightsaber battles in recent Star Wars shows. Another positive is the ending, which is a twist in and of itself, not ending how you would expect, and teasing more to come. As far as actors, Lee Jung-Jae and Manny Jacinto were the standouts portraying a Jedi and a Sith perfectly.

The negatives: I thought the time jumps back and forth made things confusing at times, but was cool how we got two episodes that take place at the same time, but two different stories. My biggest negative is the characters of Osha and Mae. There was not one point in all 8 episodes that I cared about them. I was never interested in their story, and I thought Amandla Stenburg‘s acting was very lackluster. I hope if we see more of them, their stories will be better written and acting will be better. I did however like the switch at the end that they made from Jedi to Sith and vice versa.

Overall I liked this show more as it went on and hope to see more of it. At its best, it was fantastic ( an 8.5/10) and at its worst, it was very disappointing (a 6/10). But overall I’d give it a 7.5/10

Cool, weil es in der Zeit der Republik spielt. Interessant zu sehen, wie die Machtverhältnisse waren und gut dargestellt, wie groß, aber auch schwach die Jedi durch die Zeit des Friedens waren.Sonst aber eher durchschnittlich. Story mit Geschwistern lala

I don’t understand the bad reviews of this show. Oldheads need to open their mind. Just because it isn’t a linear, quasi-religious story doesn’t mean it isn’t Star Wars. There are many twists and turns, a great cliffhanger ending and fantastic performances. 9/10

I have very mixed feelings on this show because they did some stuff right but they also did a lot of stuff wrong. The lightsaber duels were some of the best we’ve gotten from Disney. As well as some stand out characters like Sol and the Stranger. But it’s hard to overlook the bad
