This was absolutely fantastic. I was engaged the entire time. It just flowed and put it into perspective of them being actual people compared to a whole disaster.
I love the fact checks, the little jokes, the creativity of piecing together a story.
And Tom narrating makes it so much better.
Definitely a watch if you enjoy history and want more key points

I have to start by saying that if Tom Hiddleston had been my History Professor in college, I never would have dropped the class; I would have stuck it out, done the extra credit, and paid actual attention. Tom has a way of bringing history to life with these stories he’s pulled from records with the help of researchers; as you learn about these people, he gives you relatable stories that tug at your heartstrings. It’s honestly quite beautiful how something so disastrous could bring so many people together. I truly hope Tom Hiddleston does another series much like this.

Different way of delivering a documentary. A bit cringe in places but otherwise very interesting!

The acting was way overdramatic, but I love archaeology. I want to be an archaeologist so bad and I do love Tom Hiddleston!

Interesting show. Visiting Pompeii in 2027 so wanted to get a new perspective that I hadn’t ever considered. Definitely makes you think.

An incredible watch and re enactment of what could possibly be the storylines of 3 individuals: a teen, a female bathhouse owner and a military man along with a documented version of a Roman soldier’s account of what went down in Pompeii.

Cool concept and well produced. I will listen to Tom Hiddleston narrate just about anything. First episode is a little slow, but the other two are exciting and tearjerkers. Fun to cry about people who died two thousand years ago.

This was by far the best documentary I have ever watched! The narration, the scenes where the past and the future collided! WOW! I have never been so invested in something like this before where I sat for hours with my full attention glued to my tv!

Idk why but I just found Tom insufferable in this. I just hate when the narrator of a documentary overdramatizes it as if it’s happening to them personally in real time.
