I don't know why I held this off for so long. The older Gary 'Old'man gets, the more I enjoy his performances. The character writing is some of the best I've seen in television. There's so many original personalities and comforting actors. It's like 'Mission Impossible' but with the satirical rejects. You gradually connect to each character and understand why they're the misfits. I've seen so many spy thrillers but rarely do they stay committed to continuously thrilling. Every single 6 episode season is ram-packed with action, drama, humour, and emotion. It builds up trust by being predictable and then shatters it completely with unique ideas. I never want it to stop.

Very slow burn British spy drama/thriller with tons of build-up and satisfying season finales. Each season is short and sweet, perfectly so. If you’re a fan of the genre, you’ll feel right at home, but I can imagine some dedicated viewing for newcomers.

It never does anything groundbreaking, but it does everything really well. It takes a bit to get going and you have to learn to love the characters (especially the supporting ones). But stick with it for a few episodes and it’s a good binge watch. Oldman is always hilarious too. 7.3/10

It's fun watching the chaotic endeavors of an aging Gary Oldman 🤣 whole cast is really good. Fun, actioney spy show. With a cantankerous old fart.

Such a great show! A great mix of drama, and suspense with humor! The cast is great and bounce off each other so well. The 6 episode seasons are a great format. Can’t wait for more

This is easily one of the best shows on streaming right now. Watched The Americans last year and while this isn’t as sexy as that show, it’s the new top-tier spy thriller that you’ve gotta see if you love great acting, perfect pacing, and expertly woven character development. Plus the author is still pumping out books every year or so which means we could have this show for a solid 5-10 more seasons if Oldman can keep it up (an undeniable standout). Don’t miss this! It’s quick and excellent by every metric!

8.5/10; this show great, so thrilling, and with greatly placed comedy, you really connected to the broken characters, and learn to love them, every season brings something new and thrilling, and they do it so well. I definitely recommend.

The middle seasons are definitely the weakest, but even the newer seasons feel like the show is just slapping a new coat of paint on the same format. I’d like to see more personal development in the characters

phenomenal show. officially one of my absolute favorites. incredible cast, characters, plot lines, music, cinematography. the characters are genuinely what make this, obsessed with the subtle (?) found family trope :,). comedy done sooo well too.

If a show could get a perfect score, this is it. Soul reason I would renew Apple TV. Cast is brilliant, the vibe a perfect mix and of drama and humour. 10/10

Loved it

Each season gets worse than the prior one. But season 1 started strong enough that the ongoing decline is manageable.
