Scott Pilgrim Takes Off Reviews

This was an absolutely phenomenal adaptation of Scott Pilgrim. I doubt there’ll be a season 2, but if there is, I’ll love every second of it.

I binged watched this from the second it came out. Oh my god… This was so unexpected I cannot believe this is real. This show is so crazy and hilarious I need a season 2 now. Every SP fan and every cartoon fan needs to watch this. Absolutely iconic.

while i have some sorta respect for the og, i liked this so much more than the movie; the character development and the plot were both SO much better n i loved the aesthetic and anjmatikn style and everything

much different from what i expected but it was SO AMAZING

such a good show, binge watched it in a day. loved the characters, the plot, the humor, the art style, i just loved everything and they got the live action actors to voice their characters!! this was so good and i definitely recommend it!!

Yes it’s creative, yes it’s Scott Pilgrim…well kind of. If you were expecting something as funny and unique as the comics or movie, be prepared to be disappointed. The show itself was alright but in connection to Scott Pilgrim, it was a disappointment.

This show was amazing. Everything about this show was great. The story was unique and interesting, the characters and their traits matched the comics and the movies, the art and animation style was amazing, and the music selection matched the show very well. There wasn’t a (1/3)

Nah who thought it’d be a great idea to take a great film like Scott Pilgrim and then ruins all of the characters. 55% of the show is basically Exs of the past fighting each other while 40% of it goes to characters randomly hooking up. While 5% of it goes to Scott Pilgrim.

Better than the movie? The results may surprise you.

Jokes aside, this was great & an excellent way of innovating on the initial premise and reexpressing those themes without being tired or identical about it.

this show is actually deeper than you think it criticizes certain aspects of society in such a non depressing way
with all the references this show really gets you into the story

I never read the books or saw the movie, so wasn’t sure what to expect, but I loved this show. The animation and voice actors were great, the romance was romantic, the action was outstanding, and I loved every character. I watched the whole thing in one day and loved it.

9/10 This is a great anime and one of the only ones Ive watched! I loved Scott pilgrim since I was around 13 when the first book came out. I love how it uses the same cast from the movie too! But it could’ve used more Kim and Wallace, they were some of my favorite characters!!!
