I love that Stephen King would make appearances in the movies of his books.

One of my favourite movies, and by far the best Stephen King based production (yes over the shining in my books). Only recently found out its a 3 parter which explains the ridiculous length of its CD version, incredible cinematography and story. Acting wasn't bad either

I don’t know I really tried, but I just couldn’t get into it. The first episode wasn’t bad though.

Scary as fuck when I was a kid but as an adult, long and boring. I enjoyed the nostalgia though.

Pretty silly, practicals and cgi were pretty distracting, and the acting was mid at best. Storyline was meandering, and most of the characters were insufferable.
Kind of a fun watch at times, but mainly dragged out and not really scary.

This is still a great watch even all these years later! I’m not usually a fan of Stephen King movies but this one is enjoyable start to finish. It really stats to pick up in part 2!

It has the bones to be a good haunted house, gothic horror movie, but gets lost by airing on highly censored broadcast TV. It’s so dulled down that nothing delivers.

I watched this on VHS as a kid. I thought it was a long ass movie. 😂😂 Did not know it was 3 episode limited series. Watching it as an adult, this series isn’t nearly as scary and exciting like I thought as a kid. However, it’s still a decent watch
