I just finished Murderbot Season 1. The short episodes threw me at first, but by the halfway point, I was all in. The last two episodes pulled me the most. Alexander Skarsgård nailed this role. His dry delivery and timing gave Murderbot those perfect, witty one-liners. I caught myself laughing out loud more than once. Hoping for a Season 2.

I wanna like this I GENUINELY do, but it's kind of hard when EVERY single protagonist, (except for the main one, Murderbot), is so unlikable and terribly written.
The best way they could have done this was if he enacted his vision where he k*lled everyone in episode 1...

Big lead up to … a bus ride elsewhere? I know season 2 is coming but so many unanswered questions and no payoff at the end.

The only thing I liked was the plot idea and the actual murder bot it seemed like a cool protagonist. I also liked the short episodes per season that made it an easy watch for the first few.
The other characters however had such poor development that I couldn’t finish it.

When Apple TV flops, it flops hard, but they release so many TV series that it almost doesn't matter anymore. The casting, to begin with, was awful, and the acting even more so, including Skarsgård himself. The Apple production is usually top-notch, but it looks so colourless and cheap here. I was confused by the story and wasn't into it at all, and by the looks of it, I think the creators felt the same because who is the demographic for this? Is it mature? Is it childish? If there is a season 2, I probably won't be watching.

I love a good adaptation, I love a good sci-fi, and I really love sarcastic cynic humor (so I rly enjoyed this show). The amount of detail is wonderful (the clips from the rise & fall of sanctuary moon haha). Idk it’s just such a fun show & rly does the book justice.

i really enjoyed the first season. the episodes are way too short, but the story is fun and the ensemble is very adorable. the ending of the season took me by surprise with how deep and emotional it got, but that’s the perfect way to reflect the character arc of murderbot. i don’t know if i would recommend EVERYONE watch this, but if you’re into sci-fi stuff, you might find this fun

Decent show, they went in the right direction at the end. Hopefully they don’t mess up S2 and it’ll be an amazing show.

In between like and meh on this one I must say. I’m slightly disappointed with this. The pacing was god awful. I feel like they should’ve just dropped all the episodes at once because the episodes are soo short. Thankfully, it started to redeem itself towards the end. 6.5/10

I found this show because it auto played after another show I was watching before, and it was really good. but it needs to be advertised better.

Just saw season 2 comes out in 2027. This dude plays a convincing cyborg remaining emotionless but as his character develops it get more interesting. Slow start but it picks up the last few episodes. If you like sci-fi mixed with some comedy this could be your jam.
