Monster: The Ed Gein Story

was rly excited for this but got three episodes in and couldn’t do it anymore, this genuinely sucks and it’s boring asf. the whole thing between the story and hollywood stuff made it confusing and i really don’t understand why it’s even a plot line. ed geins story is pretty short and straightforward, it seems like they just put in a bunch of inaccurate shit for filler.

Okay so I really tried to watch this one and tbh I was low key excited for it I left my Friday free for this. But it’s such a difficult watch I got to episode 3 and had to say enough is enough. Cuz it’s so uncomfortable I get, I know what there trying to do but this isn’t it..no

Was excited to see this but it is way too non linear to enjoy. Jumped all over the place and way too confusing, trying to tie in all the movies he allegedly inspired. A total mess, could not get past episode 4 before giving up. Stick to the more informative podcasts

Really enjoyed this bc of its different approach and paying homage to the movies he inspired Charlie deserves a Emmy for sure as does his mom ……. If you enjoyed other monster series u will enjoy this too as creepy as it is to say …….. can’t wait for next one !!!!!

Would have been a love if it wasn’t for the fact that Ryan Murphy tried to lump his schizophrenia with innocence. Schizophrenia gives you the ideas, it doesn’t physically grab ahold of your body. This guy fed on evil and basked in it. Great cinematography/ acting tho ofc

Good insight into the life of Ed Gein but I found it hard to follow jumping between his story and his Hollywood influence with a lot of filler. There’s also a lot of historical inaccuracies which I feel don’t belong in something that claims to be based on real life events
