Every animated project from Star Wars seems to up the bar for quality . Can’t wait for season 2

My only problem with the show is that Marrok and the Crow are big antagonists in it, even though Ahsoka no diffed both of them in like 10 seconds, including beating the Crow without even having a weapon. I find it hard to believe that Ahsoka is that far ahead of Maul

I queued this up for Star Wars Day expecting a simple spin-off, but the gritty depth totally blew me away.

What Worked:
Rau’s blocking and the painted shadows give the set a tactile weight. Through my Methodist faith lens, Daki holding to his principles reminds me that true light means doing what’s right despite the darkness. The Kiner score and Witwer’s voice work also give the quest a super dynamic flow.

The Cuts:
The middle really dragged for me; police red tape stalls the momentum. Keeping it spoiler-free, the final confrontation feels rushed, leaving the stakes of the big sacrifice half-baked. Plus, the droid repeatedly debating makes the subplot feel one-dimensional.

Verdict:
A stunning dive into a tragic villain. A must-watch for darker stories, but skip if you want lighthearted adventures.

Line: “You must adapt to the new state of the galaxy.”

Maul is one of the best dark side characters in Star War and I’m glad we’re blessed with this show. It’s extremely well done from the colors, to the story, to the soundscape, to the characters, and more! If you’re like Star Wars in any capacity, you need to see this!

This was the best thing Disney has done with Starwars!! They really made Maul look like the true shadow lord!! It had some of the best light saber battles and the last three episodes were amazing! They made classic characters look legendary and unrelenting

THIS is what Star Wars should have been from 2015, it's perfect, everything, the animation, the story, the coloring, just makes you feel Star Wars again
Plus, Devon, finally, a GOOD written Disney woman character

This show is good but not great it has amazing animation and great fights but that’s as far as it goes the characters and story don’t stick with you and after sitting on it..yeah it was okay 9.7/10

Now that’s freakin’ Star Wars.

i loved it and i'm hyped for another season

8.5-9/10. The art was beautiful and I love how it took a more modern take on Clone Wars animation. They did a good job of displaying how scary the sith can really be. It’s not a 10/10 cause there’s some characters that pmo but if you ignore that the show is really enjoyable

We’re so back

Overall a great animation. The characters were great and I found it very interesting to see Darth Moul from this side. Also the ending was incredible. All the fights we got to see were amazing. I’d like to see a continuation of this series.

What an absolute banger! Oh this was amazing. The sounds, music, animation, characters. A great project star wars fans deserve. I was two episodes in already waiting for the next season. Also shoot-out to Sam Witwer, what an amazing performance, as always.
