However childlike the animation may seem, don't start this show if you don't have the stomache for a gruesome, heart-wrenching and depressing journey. Every layer of the abyss adds more darkness to the story. But it's all worth it in the end!

Season 1 was pretty good but season 2 was terrible with no direction

Don’t let the child like animation fool you, there’s so much depth here. I watched the entire first season on a plane and was entranced the whole time. Great characters and world building and excited to see where it goes from here.

I can’t just skim over the sexual bits with the kids and that’s why I feel guilty loving this show to absolute bits. I can’t recommend it because I don’t respect the inclusion of children in those situations but if you can look past those bits this is an unforgettable anime 10/10

The worldbuilding and universe is outstanding and captivating, kids mention softcore sexual topics however which feels weird. Anyway you should watch it
