I was looking for a simple yet dramatic series with some great world-building and sci-fi elements. This had all the potential for it all, and more. I was fitting into the first 2 episodes and could tell it was going to go heavy into lore but by episode 3 they managed to overcomplicate and prolong everything. It has Dune written all over it and that's why I loved it. Unfortunately, there were way too many people, places, theories, time cuts and technology to understand and enjoy. It turned into more of a chore and as a sci-fi nerd, it hurt.

Beautiful aesthetics and fell in love with the characters (Gaal Dornick, Salvor Hardin, Hari Seldon), but it’s such a galvanization of the book that it became unenjoyable. Sacrificed the mature philosophical themes for petty teen romance subplots. Disappointed.

They can’t possibly end it like that. It felt like they took my heart, ripped it out, shattered it into a thousand pieces, and burned it to ash. What did I just watch? This episode was absolutely incredible — a masterpiece — but now I can’t bear the wait for the next season.

I haven’t read the book(s), so I honestly don’t know what’s coming next. Is this really the end? Or will the story continue? I’m desperate and hoping with all my heart for another season.

The first season is definitely hard to wrap your head around head around at times to exactly what on earth is going on. You just have to ride the confusion, till you have some grasp on how the characters intertwine. It’s not a background show and requires your full focus. But it is oh so worth it in the end, and the seasons get progressively better.

I enjoyed it so much, I rewatched it when the new season came out! It’s so good!
