I was looking for a simple yet dramatic series with some great world-building and sci-fi elements. This had all the potential for it all, and more. I was fitting into the first 2 episodes and could tell it was going to go heavy into lore but by episode 3 they managed to overcomplicate and prolong everything. It has Dune written all over it and that's why I loved it. Unfortunately, there were way too many people, places, theories, time cuts and technology to understand and enjoy. It turned into more of a chore and as a sci-fi nerd, it hurt.

Beautiful aesthetics and fell in love with the characters (Gaal Dornick, Salvor Hardin, Hari Seldon), but it’s such a galvanization of the book that it became unenjoyable. Sacrificed the mature philosophical themes for petty teen romance subplots. Disappointed.

I have been fighting demons trying to enjoy this show. Made it to episode 8 and I can say without a doubt.. BORRRINNNGGG my god.

Salvor Hardin In the book is infamous for saying the quote, "Violence is the last resort of the incompetent" VS the show where she picked up weapons to fight the invaders as an immediate response. Need I say anymore.
It's probably a fine show if you haven't read the books.
