I watched most of the first season and some episodes from the others to see if it would get better. I tried really hard to like this I just don’t. I’ll probably end up trying to watch it again though😆

Easily became one of my favorite shows of all time and it’s severely underrated

Everwood is one of those rare series that quietly works its way into your heart. What starts as a story about one family’s fresh start becomes something so much bigger — a beautiful exploration of love, grief, family, friendship, forgiveness and finding your place in the world. Every character feels real, with their own strengths, flaws and struggles, which makes it impossible not to become emotionally invested in their journeys.

One of the things I loved most about Everwood was watching the characters grow. Nobody stays the same, and that’s what makes the series feel so authentic. Relationships are tested, people make mistakes, hearts are broken, but there’s always hope that tomorrow can be better than today. It isn’t afraid to show life’s difficult moments, but it also reminds you that healing is possible.

There were so many moments that made me laugh, cry, smile and shout at the screen. I found myself celebrating the characters’ victories, feeling heartbroken during their losses and constantly hoping they would find the happiness they deserved. By the end, they didn’t feel like fictional characters anymore — they felt like people I’d genuinely come to care about.

My biggest disappointment isn’t with the story itself, but with the fact the series was cancelled. After investing four seasons in these characters, I was left wanting so much more. It felt like there was still another chapter to tell, and knowing there wasn’t a fifth season was genuinely disappointing. I would have loved more time with these characters and to see their journeys continue.

Despite that, Everwood has become one of my favourite comfort shows. It’s heartfelt, emotional, funny, hopeful and full of unforgettable characters. It’s a series that reminds you that people can change, families can heal and that even after life’s hardest moments, hope is never out of reach. It’s a show I’ll return to time and time again, and one I’ll never forget. ❤️
