Crystal Lake Reviews

Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Linda Cardellini is amazing and she did a fantastic job playing Jason’s mom. 1000000/10

Genuinely mind-blowing. The entire Friday the 13th franchise makes so much more sense with this as a prequel

This is such an excellent addition to the franchise and I’m so happy with how much love and care they put into it. Encapsulating the pov slasher vibes while still maintaining the unique character driven-drama really elevated this for me. And Linda Cardellini is such a powerhouse!

It’s DORFin time

Great story add on for the Greatest villain

Pretty good, really good prequel and way of showing the past of her. Great story and last episode was peak asf. Good watch and made me want to watch the rest of the movies

Love it

it was okay

9/10 HOLY SHIT!!! Jason Vorhees 🔪 great back story of Jason and great add on to Jason! Also Linda went off as Jason’s mom!

Fun, nostalgic take on a prequel for a iconic horror franchise

Good series that tried to combine the ever-evolving elements of the movies into one storyline. Acting was so-so except for Linda Cardellini, whose skill made everyone else look even worse, but the effects were incredible.

I love the Friday 13th Franchise and I feel like this was a perfect expansion off the series with Easter eggs and nostalgia through out. Linda was a perfect Pamela

It’s a Japanese throwing star, one of five key tools in the deadly art of ninjitsu. Peak, made me a fan of Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees 8.0/10

Friday the 13th is my favourite movie so I have a bias.

This series was done very well with a few exceptions. Personally, there are some plotlines I didnt like but overall, I am hoping for season 2!

9/10

Jason, mother is talking to you!

For a fan of the franchise it’s nice to have some new content after all these years. It’s just as bloody and over the top as the previous film. Making it a prequel was a smart choice but they did change some of the lore I wasn’t a huge fan off.

it was interesting I guess. I liked some of it, but most of it was okay. me and a24 don’t really agree LOL

gore is a 100000388383/10 I really enjoyed the entire series, prob one of the best shows I’ve seen this year. However, I didn’t like how much they deterred from the original story. The backstory and explanation aspects were good but didn’t like how they completely re-wrote it.

Took the universe in a different direction but thoroughly enjoyed it. Ending fell off a little bit but understandable given they had to end in such a way that still makes sense for the first movie. Now I need to rewatch the original
