Broadchurch Reviews

dilf and milf do detective work 😘

This usually isn’t the kind of stuff I like to watch. It is well acted, and the writing is captivating. Every episode had me thinking that a different person is the killer. Highly recommended!

I loved this show so much

It handled very dark subjects without making them trivial or lighthearted like some shows do
The characters had well built backgrounds, weren’t flat, and had actual growth over time

This show had so many gut-renching scenes that make you want to cry

beautiful, very enjoyable. so real and so cruel, keeps you attached to the screen and doesn’t bore. great acting, great cast, great setting.
8.7/10

This has too be one of the most brilliant displays of acting I have ever scene. They have got some of the greatest British actors togther it genuinely is humbling. Real script writing real character development. It’s a horror story really but wow this series ticked every box.

i watched this show w my dad. sometimes its hard to rate the difference between different murder mystery crime shows. i remember the acting being rly good and the plot was engaging. my dad at one point said he liked it bc the people looked like real ppl and wernt attractive… soo

Soooo good!

Only watched S1-2 (not super interested in watching the time skip and new case/cast of characters tbh), but overall I liked this! Obv very well-acted (I mean.. Olivia Coleman and David Tennant as the main characters?) and a little predictable, but had a lot of heart. And I think despite the British court system being a TOTAL JOKE (seriously, I was more angry about the way this went than Anatomy of a Fall), the ending was decently realistic. Thumbs up

I wish there were more seasons! Such good characters.

I did enjoy it. Good acting and filing etc. I know it was only meant to be three seasons but I still feel disappointed and ending! Mostly with what happens with Mark

Season 1 by far the best but great show. Loved the working chemistry between the characters.

First season was good, then the later seasons felt like a drag :/

This one just caught me off guard. I was really hooked during season 1, great storytelling and great acting. Season 2 was still pretty good, though with an unsatisfying ending, season 3 was a little to separate from the other seasons for me

Only watched 2/3 seasons. First one was good, second got a little stale, third was boring dropped after 1 episode

Great series with heart breaking crimes to be solved by a lovable mum detective and a hardened but good man head detective.

Sad

Alec is the best character

Such an amazing show. The character dynamic is really interesting with the balance of the functional and the emotional , the side characters are well developed and as grim as the plot can be at times, the writing makes you consider all possibilities. Great show.

The first two series are much better connected and tell quite a good coherent story. The third series is totally quite different and while it does include elements of the original storyline from the first and second series, it is somewhat removed but still quite good.

Incredible cast and plot. Anything with David Tennant is a certified banger.
