great cgi and set design they rlly wnated it to be action packed! acting was mid, wigs were bad, story went too fast and if you even watched the animated series it would be worse. they never went in depth w ANY of the characters. the writing felt flat😔

I don’t think I’m gonna watch past 1st episode due to the awful cast. ( Imo Zuko and his uncle should be played by someone else that actually looks like them. )

It is better than expected, and I think the show knows that it can’t be better than the animated version, and it is totally ok with it.

I feel so insane for saying this… but it needed more sexism. Just cuz I feel like sokka’s character development was almost entirely cut out. Suki, zuko, and iroh all serving cunt so far tho. Nothing can beat the og but I had a really good time watching this. Praying for a szn 2

It’s not the animation. It’ll never be as good as the animation. But I enjoyed it for the most part. Some changes were good, others I felt were stupid. But still very good!

This is probably my favorite kids show, the themes are special, the character development is huge, the action and sense of childlike wonder are so good, and the universe feels like anything could happen. I will always recommend this, it is 100% worth it. Rest in peace Mako.

this was a lot better than I thought it was going to be!! some of the casting picks are SPOT ON! others are eh. wish it was 10 episodes and not 8, it felt really rushed and I don’t know if combining books 1,2,3 was the best idea. otherwise I was impressed and entertained!

Honestly really loved it. I think everyone did really well and the changes/combinations of concepts were handled as well as they could be for the show format. You can tell they actually care about the content even when not making a 1 to 1 recreation.

How is the whole point of this season to be about water and Aang doesn’t even do it once. Also how the hell is Aang and kattara going to fall in love. Aang looks half her height

If we’re talking try to show, it definitely felt rushed and skipped around a bit, however the casting and costumes were SPOT ON. If the animated fans watched this having never watched the original, I’m sure they’d love it. People are being harsh comparing the two. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

i never watched this when i was younger but my bf did and he said he didn’t like it and that actors looked too young but as someone who didn’t watch it when i was younger this is great and i was hooked almost immediately, im not gonna watch the series tho so 8/10. praying for s2

This season was somewhat a disappointment butt i think that seadon 2 will be great with the cast being older and hopefully stronger direction. After ep 3 it really wasnt too bad just bad dialogue. However Katara is probably the most disappointing due to relationship dynamics 😔
