Altered Carbon Reviews

Season 1 has made Altered Carbon one of the few shows I would rate 10/10. (I try not to think about S2.) The world building is absolutely amazing and the cinematography is gorgeous. It’s a gritty sci-fi murder mystery done very well. Love it! S2 was not as gritty ie not as good.

My teacher recommended this to me after realising I liked sci-fi. I didn't think I'd like it, and I guess I was right. The casting is fine, and the sci-fi elements are great. What isn't so great is the plot progression and surface-level world-building. I give credit to the creators for including so much, but then again, not much of it feels fleshed out enough or prominent to the story/world. The same goes for the dark themes. I was expecting more than just what most of us know. Overall, Season 1 is better than Season 2, but I struggle to pay attention to or finish either.

Really loved the trippy concept of this show. Went to read the book immediately after. Season 1 is definitely the front runner. 7.5/10

I absolutely can NOT stand Sci-fi as a genre but the acting and special effects of this show are so attention grasping that I actually think I might rewatch this series. Get past the nudity and I promise you’ll be hooked

La S1 est une masterclass incroyable, S2 un peu moins car protagonistes moins bons que ceux de la 1ère mais tout de même très réussie.

Takeshi Kovacs joué par Kinnaman pue le flow dommage qu'il ai pas renouvellé en saison 2...

S2 could have been better

I love this show, the acting, the story, everything is amazing. The first season was my favorite and the second was still good, just seemed to lack some of the excitement and twists that the first had. Very sad there wasn’t another season.

The first season is great, really really great. in my opinion, the second was not necessary. But if you have not seen the first season, run😁

one of the dystopian cyberpunk series of all time. Really good storytelling and world building. I just loved it!

season 1 was phenomenal. i might never forget it or get tired of rewatching it. joel kinnaman’s portrayal of takeshi kovacs is so compelling. season 2 was the polar opposite. i hate to say it, but if it weren’t for anthony mackie, this show would still be airing.
