9.0/10 watching what could be one of Makoto Shinkai’s many masterpiece for the first time is a experience that I wish I could have all over again. The unknowing nature of what could occur made my spine chill. It beautiful animation crushed my soul but longed for the Happy End.

How just how, I think I can describe how good the storytelling was on this and the ending it ended with the same question but as a different reviewer said “time and place do not matter as long as souls meet” and I think that is a beautiful message to tell 10/10🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

On my 6th rewatch, I can confidently concur, that it is still as perfect as the first time I watched it, over two years ago now.

Still remains a 10/10 no matter the way you put it.

Those films are always... a lot! Romance and love, cosmic shenanigans and tons of sparkling art. Sometimes it sings and sometimes it seems sooo loooong. There's a nice twist halfway through, which brought me back but wasn't enough to keep my attention and make me love it.

WHAT A GREAT MOVIE. I love the characters, and honestly the whole plot line. The animation ate, the dubbing ate (they were so good at portraying emotions), and the art style ate. I was legit stressed the whole movie, especially when they were together.

love this movie, I thought I had already watched it, because I read the manga, but this was actually my first watch. I love how predictable it feels at first, but then it just keeps surprising you. like the way it endss

the story was really good, it had me sitting there, confused, than suddenly i understood and then again confused - guessing how it would end

Alyssa’s recommendation! first time watching an anime that’s not studio ghibli. the story was very interesting. The animation is the prettiest I’ve ever seen, so much detail, clarity, light and shadow. Loved the concept of soul ties and the dreams. Happy with the ending.
