Gotta be honest, it was kinda weird seeing Jean Arthur as the salt of the earth type and not the one working against them this time. Great movie, I’m just used to seeing her typecast 😂

Really fun movie. I dislike abrupt personality changes/lessons learned in movies though and this one kind of had that. Also a weird diatribe on not paying taxes that I feel like I’ve heard word for word from old people and now maybe I know where they got it from.

nothing brings me more unbridled joy than a super eccentric, wacky family, a freeloading russian dance teacher, jean arthur yelling “WHEEEE” going down the banister, and jimmy stewart being ten feet taller than everyone else at all times (★★★½)

Nominated for 7 Oscar’s and won 2. If you liked it’s a wonderful life, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this film by Frank Capra. An uplifting story that makes you think. Love Lionel Barrymore’s character in this and sometimes it’s hard not to see mean ol Mr. Potter but Grandpa Vanderhof is a hoot. It will leave a smile on your face.
