World War Z
Hands down my favourite zombie film of all time. From the well written story about finding a way to fight back to Gerry getting back to his family. The performance from the cast is excellent and the way the zombies were created to something that we have never seen before. 8.5/10

I’ve been watching this movie since it came out, and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it. The solution to the virus isn’t a far reach, and seems like a plausible solution to a situation like that.

8/10 - great plot, executed well, had a couple of jump scares that got me. Only drawback is that it was a little long and Brad Pitt had a mom hair cut — still good though. Would watch again.

If I saw a group of zombies sprinting at me I would prefer to kill myself.

Lots of hate, lots of comparisons to the source material. But I try to see it for what it is and to me it was really good. Imagery really made you think and terrified you. I still hope did part two. Watch it with an open mind. It's worth it the time.

Ok, a friend of mine made me watch this with him. I don’t usually watch “war movies” In general and this reminded me why. Everything was just so weirdly convenient for the main characters?! Idk, if you’re super into the “what ifs” in the future igs this would be for you

Yeah this is actually a pretty good zombie movie. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched it and I thought it was good. Not my favorite zombie movie ever but I’d put it somewhere in the middle. I never read the book so I can’t say anything about that and how they differ, but as someone who’s just watched the movie it’s not bad.

World War Z
Rating: 7.3/10
World War Z is a spectacular and intense global thriller that succeeds as a massive blockbuster. The film is a masterclass in large-scale action and suspense, powered by Brad Pitt's commanding lead performance and unforgettable zombie set pieces.
Highlights
- Global Scale: The film's sense of scale is stunning, with breathtaking action sequences and terrifying zombie hordes.
- Visual Effects: The "zombie swarm" concept is a brilliant and creative visual identity that adds to the film's horror.
- Brad Pitt: He delivers a fantastic and believable performance as Gerry Lane, a smart and determined investigator.
Criticisms
- Disappointing Third Act: The film's climax feels anticlimactic and disconnected from the epic scale of the rest of the movie.
- Deviation from Source Material: The film bears little resemblance to Max Brooks's novel, which may disappoint fans of the book.
Verdict
World War Z is a thrilling blockbuster that reinvents the zombie genre on an epic scale. Despite some flaws, its masterfully executed action sequences and terrifying zombies make it a must-see.
