i liked this a lot more than i would have thought. it was SO well shot and the score was very good. the characters aren’t perfect but that’s about all i can complain about. i love the location and im usually not a gorehound but it was a perfect level. 7.5/10

5 / 10 ⭐️.
Quite slow and was hard to get into, story was okay but characters were dislikable.
Personally wouldn’t recommend this to others but it’s more towards the realistic side of things.

6.5/10 decent slasher was refreshing to see a slasher in a different country but the first half is very drawn out but the second half makes up for it had some good twists too

T-Flix’s 100 Horror Movie Challenge
Movie 7 of 100
Rating - 7.0 💀
This is the 7th of the 100 horror movies in my 100 horror movie challenge and I give this Austrian outback survivor horror flick a solid 7.0 💀.
A group of friends set off across the heart of Australia for an adventure. When they find themselves broken down at a camp site someone is luckily there to help… but help is not what he’s there for.
This was a solid watch and the story is based on a real life Australian serial killer. The story line keeps you interested and you really begin to like the characters. The acting is good and the survival story gets retry bleak and brutal. I definitely would recommend any survival horror fan to give this one a watch!

Solid flick. Trigger warning though of violence against women, dismemberment, and rape

I just feel like there was so much build up that took forever then barely any of the action fr. Then the girl was so smart and then made the worse decisions. And the guy just being able to get out and escape easily really

While the camera work got a little shaky at times and was dark, this one is pretty good. Great character in Mick and it didn’t end how I thought it would. Enjoy!

It's really hard to give this one a proper rating. I wasn't convinced it's based on true events and if/since it is...it's incredibly insensitive. Which is fine for a standalone horror but if you're basing on real life let's maybe not so much with the overture of rape. More on LB.

The characters choices are at times nonsensical & frustrating. The villain had a comedic moment that made me laugh out loud. Overall ok watch

Rating: 6.2/10
Wolf Creek is a brutally effective and masterfully crafted survival horror film that's not for the faint of heart. Director Greg McLean creates a patient and terrifyingly realistic nightmare anchored by John Jarratt's iconic performance as the sadistic Mick Taylor.
Highlights
- Masterful Direction: McLean's direction is masterful in its patient build-up of dread, making the sudden shift into brutal horror shocking and effective.
- Terrifying Performance: John Jarratt's performance as Mick Taylor is chillingly believable and charismatic, making him a horror icon.
- Raw Aesthetic: The film's handheld, digital video aesthetic adds a terrifying layer of realism and verisimilitude.
Criticisms
- Grim and Sadistic: The film is an almost unbearably grim and sadistic experience, with a relentless depiction of torture and hopeless survival.
- Underdeveloped Characters: The protagonists are not deeply developed beyond standard "backpacker" archetypes.
- Simple Plot: The plot is incredibly simple, serving primarily as a framework for prolonged sequences of torture and terror.
Verdict
Wolf Creek is a powerful and terrifying piece of filmmaking that's almost impossible to recommend for general viewing due to its extreme sadism and relentlessly bleak tone. Only the most hardened fans of realistic, unflinching survival horror may find it worthwhile.
