Very cliche, nothing original

i loved the premise of this movie, yet the characters and the immediate friendship fell flat also the ending bothered me but that’s with most horrors nowadays

I wasn't expecting to dislike this as much as I did. Aside from maybe one or two kills, the majority of everything, from the story to the MacGuffin to the dynamics to the characters, is unoriginal and boring. The casting is confusing in a positive way, I guess. The CGI is cheap and unnecessary, although I see the concepts, I guess. All in all, it's a poor, clichéd mashup of Final Destination, Smile, and 101 other horror films.

The entire script felt out of place and low-key Ai generated. T’was bad

It’s not bad but it’s not good. As with most horror the dialogue is cheap and shitty, story is very shallow and not great and it’s kind of underwhelming. I will say that the score was good, the characters were consistent and good, they never made terrible decisions and went super stupid. The kills and deaths were pretty cool too, some were super gory and hard to watch. The concept of the whistle and the whistle itself is pretty cool, I love its design and the sound it makes is ear deafening. Seriously this movie is so fucking loud I couldn’t stand it half the time. I liked that it’s the characters themselves at the moment they die that’s chasing them and becoming the thing that’s chasing them, I thought that was cool. It’s just a super generic and cliche horror movie with an underwhelming story that’s so familiar and uninspired, choppy scenes and dialogue and some decent kills and horror.

My score: 5.5/10

Awful. So cringey. It was also extremely and unnecessarily loud.

Whistle was a surprisingly entertaining watch! It felt different from the typical horror movie, with a creepy concept that actually kept me interested and wondering what was coming next. The unsettling atmosphere and suspense worked really well, and there were enough creepy moments to keep the tension going without feeling overly predictable. Definitely one of those horror movies that proves you can still take a familiar genre and do something fresh with it. Creepy, different, and genuinely fun to watch.

the ending hello?

A really good horror film. Although not exactly scary, the "Final Destination"-esque story, the characters, and the direction are impeccable.

And the post-credits scene, just wow!
