We Need to Talk About Kevin
We Need to Talk About Kevin is a brilliant film with excellent writing and truly superb directing. The performances are fantastic especially from Tilda Swinton who gave an Oscar worthy performance and from Ezra Miller who quite frankly wasn’t even acting. 8.5/10

am i the only one that feels bad for the mom? she tried to take kevin to the doctor as a baby & constantly expressed her concerns to her husband but was brushed off. she attempted to be there for her son knowing he wasnt right, so idk how any of it is her fault. idk, my opinion

One the most disturbing films I’ve ever seen. Starting to think Ezra miller wasn’t acting…..

Artistically the movie was great, I'm just confused on exactly what the overall theme of the film is supposed to be. It can't be grief bc we barely see anything happen post-incident. I feel like it lacked an overall message

This movie was so disturbing i’m ngl. From the way that the mother was being treated from the start kinda made me sad. She wasn’t the best mother but the dad also never helped to fix Kevin’s behavior. It goes so slow. Very weird and dark. I wouldn’t really recommend 5/10.

clever asf, the sprinklers at the start foreshadowing everything was AMAZING such a well thought out story line

8.3 - This was disturbing & at times very hard to watch. (And I’m weird) & I really like movies like that.
Parenting is hard enough as it is, & I can’t even imagine what I’d do if my kid was a clearly manipulative sociopath from day one.
The time hopping, disjointed edit was a little confusing at first, but once it settled in, it worked really well for the story. It’s probably my favorite Tilda Swinton performance, though not my favorite movie featuring Tilda Swinton. It’s also an incredible performance from Ezra Miller, but I can’t help but ask, knowing what we know now, how much of that is because Ezra Miller is not a good guy.
Definitely not a revisit I want to ever make, but an uncomfortable experience I’m glad I finally took after it’s been sitting in my watchlist for literal years.

Zero believable chemistry between Tilda and John. Jumping back and forth between banal scenes in the present and the actually interesting scenes of the past was a bit frustrating. It was just scene after scene of Kevin being an asshole until the end. I'm not sure what the message

It is a truly terrifying movie in how the dread incredibly sneaked up on me and left me floored by the end. This movie sat with me long after it ended. Disturbing in the best way possible.
