If you ever wanted to feel the same experience of a vampire being killed by wooden stake, then this is for you. This film offers a long and boring vampire hunt, filled with vague characters and a storytelling more paler than a vampire skin. Vampires is good a film for the undead.

I love John Carpenter, but this film doesn't have the shelf life of garlic, let alone a vampire. Production-wise, I'm fascinated yet again. The practicality, cinematography, and colours build a brilliant atmosphere, although several key elements do lack depth. There's a certain subgenre this falls into, films like "From Dusk Till Dawn" or even more recently, "Sinners". Unfortunately, unlike those films, the writing for this is disastrous. It's aware of clichés, yet unironically plays them. The dynamics and developments are poor, and the acting isn't very good either.

As far as over the top action vampire films go, it’s a fun time. James Woods really can play the asshole, even though I don’t think he has to try very hard😅. Go into it not expecting much and I think you’ll agree it’s worth a once over

Jack Crow is truly a charismatic and badass character.
I love how the vampires are portrayed in this film. The way they emerge from the earth 😍

This borders on 👍 cause the soundtrack, western aethetic and vampire hunting are pretty cool, but nothing about the screenplay elevated it above average, + the protagonists (minus padre) were so detestable I was rooting against them (1 of the worst “romances” I’ve seen in a film)

It is a good vampire movie by an iconic director. me personally cant ever get over james woods as an action hero bad ass cause he just doesnt play that well in my opinion. outside of that i enjoy it alot

Wasn’t horrible, but far from good. Vampires looked cool though.

Watched this with my aunt when I was a child. Great movie!

0.5/10 It was so bad, it had no substance. The plot was shallow at best and it was so cheesy (in a bad cringe way) I was very uncomfortable during the “sex scene” and found the acting dull. But I do love Thomas Ian Griffith so it gets a half star for him.
