ok??? honestly that ending wasn’t enough for me but i still appreciate the movie overall (pt. 2???).

the first 20 mins got me🥲 the cinematography was incredible. most of the movie i totally thought stem was a G, while having suspicions. but fr every time u thINK u know what’s gunna happen, movie proves u wrong. it’s so much more than a husband getting revenge. keeps u guessing - ranks pretty high for that. 7.4/10

A sci-fi that has messages about today’s world. In a world where neura-link is now a real concept that they are testing out it almost comes off as a warning. Had great fight choreography and I liked the lead actor. It’s worth a watch if you like sci-fi/action films

6.2 - A fun enough, if pretty flawed, sci-fi action thriller. Leigh Whannell’s inconsistency is baffling.

There are some pieces that are really well done like some fun camera work that really plays on the robotics angle. The lighting is very inconsistent & distracts from some of the heavier action sequences. The acting is fine enough.

But the amount of suspension of disbelief to get around some of the plot is difficult. I was especially hung up on how STEM is observing everything around Grey but is not reading his thoughts, how STEM can control any part of Grey but can’t communicate in any other way than how he does, & how there is any neural link to other electronic devices. Beyond those few big hang ups, I think the other upgraded humans are also a little too far past the point of practicality but who knows how wild we’ll get in the future. Lastly, the big climax reveal was very obvious almost from the start, but it is what it is. I did have some fun, but not likely worth returning to.

holy fucking cyberpunk. that was so good. the world building, the sound design, the camera work, the production design, the cinematography, the color palette, the action, & the choreography was all fucking stellar. logan marshall performed really well, never seen him on screen before, definitely deserves more lead roles. really damn good scifi thriller. 9 / 10

I absolutely loved this. I wish I had seen it unspoiled because there are some genuinely devastating plot points. The setting, story, camera work, soundtrack, effects, and acting are all fantastic. I would love a prequel that focuses more on the setting.

Gas - 9.3. Felt like a real cyberpunk world, but wish we got to see more of it. Nailed the ending. Action scenes were on par with high budget films. Whole movie was on par with high budget films.

Great movie. Interesting plot though has some similarities to Venom and great action scenes. Really enjoyed this movie.

Realistic version of Venom. I saw in theaters and wasn’t expecting much and man did this movie blow me away. The action and videography was so sick and the twist at the end was great. I highly recommend 8.8/10

Holyfuckingshit, file this under “I waited way too long to see this”! This film is not talked about enough. This was all kinds of fantastic! I love the story, the fight sequences, all of it. Logan Marshall-Green gives a fantastic performance. A must watch in my book!

No dillydallying

This movie is insane. It has an amazing plot, amazing acting, amazing camera work, and holy hell there’s a lot of gore and blood. It’s a fun movie, but it also hits you hard with some scenes. And an ending which will leave a bittersweet taste in your mouth.

8/10 I haven’t watched a good future technology movie like this in a minute but the end was wild , overall great movie highly recommend it 👍🏽🔥

exceptional example of a dystopian sci-fi thriller. great actor, great director, but i feel like there could have been more to the story. i really liked the idea of a voice in your head that takes your body over. best plot twist i’ve seen in a movie in a while.

Leigh Whannell directed this movie absolutely flawlessly, every motion every beat is amazing and the story behind Grey and this technologically advanced world is incredible, recommend 10000%

Quite a good movie supported by strong acting by the MC and great fight choreography. The plot’s been done before but I liked the storyline and the ending and the fact that the futuristic elements were believable. I also liked some of the editing choices.

I just finished this film and it was amazing. The fight scene were awesome. The sound effects of the robotics and the technology of rewinding phone calls or what the person sees through their eyes is really unique. If you love action films this is for you 8/10

This movie felt very short and left me wanting more. It can be surprisingly gory at times but still holds true for being a great sci-fi movie. If you enjoyed upgrade I recommend you watch Elysium next. 8.4/10

Very very good it’s almost a solid 10/10
