- stopped it halfway through, too boring/long to continue
- the plot is non existent and scenes are very loosely threated together
- the character is not crafted well enough to be invested in his story
- the mystery is only driven through the background music and I don’t care for

Shot very well and Andrew Garfield is just such a great actor. However the story felt very messy, while i thought the dog killer plot line with the ex girlfriend was more intriguing more than the evil Hollywood story, it just felt like the movie couldn’t stick to a story. The ending being so open also is kinda annoying but it’s been done worse. Just not something I see myself returning to or really thinking about rather than the Andrew preformance.

another A24 masterpiece

I had high hopes for this movie, usually a fan of A24 and especially Andrew Garfield, but this fell short. A little too absurdist, and even after just watching the movie I couldn’t say it was memorable.

This was a lot, I’m so confused but intrigued

Exceptionally well crafted mechanically, but beyond absurdly premised. Very much enjoyed the ride nonetheless.

i mean it was intriguing but confusing, to the youtube explanations i go🤣

idk there was something about the surrealism and eerie-ness of it all that was just top notch imo

I love movies like this, so many different messages that im sure some of the mysteries that are still left wondering at the end, can be solved if you looked at the messages through out the movie

Beautiful but too cryptic for me

8/10 I really liked this movie! Although some of the plot elements were unresolved and unexplained, I loved how much deeper and deeper Andrew Garfield’s conspiracy web keeps getting. Great horror elements as well. I loved the cult vibe too, super fun!

I think I’ll need to watch this 5 more times to absorb it. WTAF????
