Under the Silver Lake

Shot very well and Andrew Garfield is just such a great actor. However the story felt very messy, while i thought the dog killer plot line with the ex girlfriend was more intriguing more than the evil Hollywood story, it just felt like the movie couldn’t stick to a story. The ending being so open also is kinda annoying but it’s been done worse. Just not something I see myself returning to or really thinking about rather than the Andrew preformance.

another A24 masterpiece

I had high hopes for this movie, usually a fan of A24 and especially Andrew Garfield, but this fell short. A little too absurdist, and even after just watching the movie I couldn’t say it was memorable.
