Under the Silver Lake

Shot very well and Andrew Garfield is just such a great actor. However the story felt very messy, while i thought the dog killer plot line with the ex girlfriend was more intriguing more than the evil Hollywood story, it just felt like the movie couldn’t stick to a story. The ending being so open also is kinda annoying but it’s been done worse. Just not something I see myself returning to or really thinking about rather than the Andrew preformance.

- stopped it halfway through, too boring/long to continue
- the plot is non existent and scenes are very loosely threated together
- the character is not crafted well enough to be invested in his story
- the mystery is only driven through the background music and I don’t care for
