aesthetically pleasing but very over stimulating/anxiety inducing in a way that didn’t add much. it feels like it was trying to be ~different~ by being paced in *that way* but it just came off as an unpleasant attempt at capturing the life style they think NYers have.

One of the most stressful films I’ve ever watched. Throughout the entire film I found myself mad at the decisions he kept making, but also wanting him to succeed. At the end I started thinking it would all come together, only for that twist to make me mad thinking that it could.

What a movie.
Adem Sandlers' performance is a sight to be hold.
The over stimulating nature of this film, while not for everyone, I think, is a really good vibe for this film, considering how intense both the business and social life is in the main characters' life. W film. 9/10

Such an incredible introduction to the Safdie brothers.
I've never had a movie stress me out this much, and somehow I loved every second of it.

Adam Sandlers best performance. The film is hard. Harder than diamond. Not to mention the guy from TraxNYC lol, perfect addition to the film.

I know Sandler has a lot of comedic classics but he put on a dramatic classic here. Such a jarring and intense film that had me at the edge of my seat the whole time.
