ALL the actors are here WHAT +The filters are strong with this one. It’s💙&💛lol. (& sometimes not?) But this movie taught me so much. I🫶how they show this from all sides w/so many perspectives. I also🫶how they didn’t leave one clear solution in the face of an impossible situation.

In lieu of Steven Soderbergh’s new film, ‘Black Bag’ in theaters this weekend I decided to do a rewatch of Traffic. It holds up 25 years later. Incredible film, acting, writing, and editing is all superb! Benicio & Cheadle are standouts in this. 👏🏼

8/10 well casted, great direction (enjoyed the different shots from hard to soft colour). Story plays out with an “ever increasing circle” ending. Recommend.

Three solid stories that came together in the end, but I will admit I spent the majority of the movie feeling like I was watching three different films at once.

Ah, nothing like the color grading of the 00’s.
A complex and interwoven story exploring different aspects of the drug war. It manages to show the drug trade on every level. It flows regardless of enforcement, and arrests don’t reduce demand. There is no simple solution.

Very good movie, gets better as it goes. Could’ve done without the sepia filter on all the Tijuana scenes

Phenomenal storytelling and cenimatography. Not to mention cliff martinez on the soundtrack, produced the most expressive music to each scene. 10/10.

Great performances in this raw hyperlinked film showing the various perspectives on drugs. From the people making it, to the users and to parents dealing with their kid’s addiction. A powerful film but I can’t help from thinking it was better in 2000.

interesting, i've never seen a movie that shows the problem is a two way street in which production of drugs is as harmful as consumption of drugs & it tackles some common prejudices. but still, as any other drugs movie, take it with a pinch of salt.
