Scrapes by with a meh. Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano were great. Some scenes were really pretty. Outside of that, you get to watch unlikable characters barely progress the plot for 2.5 hours. Not sure why I heard so many positive things about this

This shit has a 93 (93 !?!?) on Metacritic?? This is a movie pretentious people who call themselves “Film Critics” say they like, but say that just to fit in with others. First Act was actually good, absolutely mind-numbing boring after that; Ending was for shock value only.

PTA Masterpiece. The milkshake scene and the scene where Daniel must repent are all time greats. I'll watch those scenes by themselves on YouTube occasionally. TWBB or No Country for Old Men?

Paul Dano is crazy in this movie

Pretty good movie. Great acting from Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano.

Ive been putting off watching this for a while now, and the only reason I decided to watch it was because I had realized Nextfix was removing it from the platform in 10 minutes. And I'm glad I did, easily a favorite now.
A beautiful film all around. The acting, the storyline. <3

This movie is the some of its parts. Now this movie has amazing acting amazing direction and some really great scenes sprinkled in. But while I liked it I didn’t love it I wasn’t invested throughout its run time and the ending was a massive disappointment 8.8/10

6.5/10 wasn’t really hooked into the story. The only thing I understood was the kid got deaf with the explosion. Then his dad abandoned his kid. The ending was the only good part where he killed the priest.

The most overrated movie of all time! Amazing acting. Promising first half. I understand the point of the movie (mental breakdown) however for the length of the movie the ending just does not pay off. People who claim they love this movie just want to sound sophisticated.
