Brief Thoughts: HOLY SHIT this was so much better than I expected. The sfx were gorgeously macabre and I just overall enjoyed watching it.

he looked like a vecna rip off (even though this came out before ST 4 so there’s that)

i don’t feel like any of it made sense, the motivations, the logic??? the ending???

im just confused

LOVED the practical effects and some of the monster designs. The plot is a mess varying from plot dumping then not giving enough. The dialogue is funny sometimes but giving characters backstories did not work out because of the time. Felt like 3 different plots smashed together

It kind of lost me there at the end a bit but everything else was so crazy and shocking that I still had a great time. 4 stars simply for how much this movie had my jaw on the floor.

Lovecraft cosmic horror at its low budget best. Not the most tight narrative or Oscar worthy performances. You get a hidden gem for an acquired taste. Hit or miss horror movie for a group or spooky date night.
Upon rewatch it has pregnant/birth overused
