The United States of Leland

The best thing about this are the performances. With better writing and directing it could’ve been much better but comes off more like a tv movie with undeveloped subplots and characters, rambling dialogue and sloppy editing. I just couldn’t connect with any of the characters.

I loved watching the insights of Leland’s mind, his motives and thoughts and everything surrounding it, however even though I feel like the movie wants it to, it does not justify anything that he’s done.

This was an interesting film it was good but didn’t fully grib me. Tho Ryan Gosling was the stand out and gave an incredible performance
