Not sure why this movie is so highly regarded. The exaggerated Minnesota accents and quirks were overplayed about five minutes in, and from there it became a real chore to finish. I kept watching, hoping for some kind of redemption or payoff, but it never came. If you showed me this movie without context, I would’ve assumed it was a parody of Minnesotans and crime dramas. It dragged, the characters felt flat or caricatured, and I won’t be watching it again.

Entertaining, left some things at the end to expand on and didn’t but overall good watch! 8/10

This film is pretty good. I felt that Buscemi and Frances(Marge) carried it on their backs. Not quite as suspenseful and ominous and many thrillers, but it's a true story. Minnesotan accents were spot on😂
