Holy Mackerel. I’m never eating again. I always loved the Brother’s Grimm stories growing up and now a movie finally delivers on the very non-Disneyfied version of Cinderella. Easily the best public domain based movie I’ve seen, even though the competition is lackluster

Strong concept and important topic, but the execution falls short. The film leans on shocking imagery yet neglects a cohesive story — and its stretched pacing makes it feel much longer than it needs to be.
