The Turning

It was a little bit confusing at the end

Unfortunately, a bevy of offscreen characters that only serve to complicate an already meandering plot and a sorely muddled ending rob it of its full potential.

Seen on Jan 1 ‘25. Such an abrupt ending, like they didn’t know how to best end it off. I know it’s based off Henry James’ “The Turn of the Screw,” but this film seemed unfinished, in a sense. Good acting and was enthralled in the middle. Eh giving it like a 5.9/10, not terrible.

This had potential and I enjoyed the first half but it never knew what it wanted to be: psychological horror, possession, paranormal and the worst part is I’m not sure the filmmakers knew it either because the ending isn’t just open-ended it’s downright confusing and infuriating
