The Prodigy

Rating: 5.7/10

Taking a break from survival horror games, I threw on this creepy evil-kid flick for the new WordPress blog. I like this; it’s an eerie twist on the bad seed trope, even though the story gets messy.

What Worked:
• Scott is genuinely scary, nailing the switch from innocent boy to brutal adult.
• Swapping demonic possession for serial killer reincarnation is a cool, fresh setup.
• The heavy atmosphere builds unsettling tension right from the opening.

The Friction:
• Clunky dialogue totally pulled me out of the scary moments.
• Sarah’s ridiculous final-act decisions made it super hard to root for her.

The Verdict:
I like it. Watch for a creepy bad-seed flick. Skip if frustrating choices annoy you.
