I watched this half asleep on someone’s floor idk where but it was so scary and cold I just woke up to heads getting sawed off that was a core memory

ummmmmm it was definitely a movie

A absolute classic a must watch for everyone great for it’s time along with a low budget it holds up incredibly well and overall a classic

I get the cult following but I fell asleep a couple times. Only “good” stuff is the last 10-15 min maybe. And it’s not that good. Don’t know why leatherface is a cult icon. He doesn’t compare to Freddy and Jason and myers at all. I would assume because not supernatural. Meh

I can see why it’s considered a classic. Solid idea for plot and macabre. This movie definitely walked so others could run. However it is definitely a low budget 70s movie…gore is left up to the imagination and many slow scenes could be cut out entirely. Definitely would have enjoyed it more if I watched it in the 70s.

I’m not gonna lie… I didn’t… LOVE it. I expected it to be scarier, and apart from the 4 moments where Mr. Leather killed and was very fast/efficient for such a large man, it honestly wasn’t. The characters were pissing me off but I loved Sally’s willingness to hop out of windows-

That all the kids were shit characters, especially that last blonde bitch, does she ever give your ears a rest? The answer is most definitely not 🙄

i like this movie HOWEVER i think it is absolutely foul that they made one of the main characters a wheelchair user trying to escape the killer in a super handicap inaccessible environment. like? 😭

How this has spawned several sequels and remakes is beyond me.

This is my favorite movies of all time. Watched it for the first time a couple of years ago, and it really got me into horror and movies in general. No film invokes such a visceral reaction in me such as this one. Poor Mitchell had to sit through this one with me tonight.

Holy balls this was an awesome film. Unlike other horrors this felt really grounded making the overall film feel more disturbing, raw, and brutal. This really holds up well and it’s great to see the first appearance of leatherface. Also interesting to see the inspiration this

Okay I’ll take the L I was wrong for disliking this film this film is absolutely amazing for the time same positives and negatives as Halloween 1 but I prefer that to this 8/10

Great movie. I recommend watching the entire series in a binge to really see how much this film differentiates from the others. Every TCSM basically has its own taste on how they think Leatherface works but this first one is so masterfully crafted and imo cant be replicated 10/10
