It was a little slow but super emotional and amazing acting from both Laura dern and hugh jackman. Just totally could’ve wiped out the kids acting he literally sucked and frustrated me so much I would’ve been PERFECT for this role of this sensitive emotional kid. What a shame

idk feels fake. like this dude leaves his family & then all of a sudden he's super into "helping" his son? it's like he can only ever focus on one thing/person at the time. & they're all good actors, but there was hardly any chemistry between them.

oh god. this was truly something else. as soon as i finished i knew there were going to be many adults who do not like it- they do not understand what it is like to be a teenager in this generation. i found it similar to the film beautiful boy. it was filled with emotion. 9.6/10

This was good from start to finish. It shows how parents can be in denial when it comes to their child’s mental health. As well as how divorce effects the child.

5.1/10 can confidently say this may have been one of the worst acting performances across the board. Just terrible. Plot was entertaining enough to keep me in it tho

A film that explores depression and suicide through the story of a teenager. It’s clear that his parents’ divorce deeply affected him for years, and he never received the psychological help he needed.

There were moments when his parents really frustrated me because they seemed to take their son’s depression far too lightly, which ultimately led to a tragic ending. The story was well told, although I wish it had ended on a slightly more hopeful note.

Tremenda actuación, una historia realista y cruda de inicio a fin. Sin filtro alguno. Excelente👏🏻

Introspective, this film takes you on a telling story about letting go of one’s past. Whilst there’re some moments that weren’t expanded upon too heavily, this film delivers on its overall message stoutly. An honest & true 7/10, with a nice little addition of Hopkins iykyk😉😁

i wanted to give a like on this but when i saw the ending, it was definition of perfect in topic of suicides. At first i thought the director fucked up the movie and made Nicholas alive even tho it didnt made any sense, but then i saw the ending and its amazing. I kinda hate Beth

ending not expected

A “painful" and "heart-wrenching" portrayal of mental health issues and how it affects broken Families. Great acting by Jackman Dern, with Zen McGrath as the struggling son who also puts in a decent performance. A hard watch at times 😢. On Film4 now 👍
