Can we just bury Smurf's movies? They stopped feeling genuine the more they pumped out.

So 'smurfing' close, but then they hired James Corden. Half of the casting made no sense to me. I tried so hard to get into it, but the voice 'acting' kept pulling me out. As for the animation, I liked it. The experimentation was fun, although something about it all feels half-finished. The songs were decent. I mean, they hired Rihanna, so it had to be somewhat good. For brainless children, this is fine. For the adults sitting with them, I'm not sure. I can ignore a silly, goofy story, but it was hard getting past that dialogue. Funny in some parts, dreadful in the rest.

A cute Animated odyssey with a smurfload of flat jokes and slim characters, but conjures some magic for kids.

absolutely fucking shite. sorry i mean smurfing smurf. can we please stop with the smurf remakes, they’re always crap. like genuinely why was this made? plus rihanna (love u but) was never the right voice for smurfette and WHY ARE WE STILL CASTING JAMES CORDEN IN THINGS? 3/10

I don’t really know, maybe enjoyable for kids. Disturbing dance scenes at beginning and end but some glimpses of coolness with anime style and other different animation styles in different dimensions.

one of the worst movies i have ever seen

It’s a cute movie that has a good story to it, but it is a little slow at times and with so many well-known voices. It’s hard to stay in the mind frame of the Smurfs and not think about the actors speaking. I also enjoyed the new Rihanna song.

I love the colors so much, I liked the mix of animation and real life. The songs were much better than I expected and the story wasn’t that bad to be honest. It has loads of funny scenes for both kids and adults. It’s a good watch overall, and it teaches a good lesson.

A fresh musical reboot that trades forest hijinks for a rescue mission in the human world. Rihanna shines as Smurfette, leading the charge to save Papa Smurf. Mixed reviews aside, the strong voice cast and vibrant animation make it a colorful, feel-good adventure. 6.8/10
