The Running Man

I'm honestly surprised by the negative reception. The runtime may run a little longer than it needs to, but I was thoroughly engaged throughout, and it may be a more restrained Edgar Wright project, but it's still one of the year's best action films. It's unfortunate it flopped too, because the (albeit large) budget was spent brilliantly. From expensive set pieces to showy action sequences to precise visual/sound effects to grand locations, the production and world-building all around were magnificent. The casting hit, the soundtrack hit, the colours hit, the humour hit, the emotion hit, and the messages really hit. To me, it's a hit, and as far as remakes go, this was needed and even exceeded its predecessor.

Fun watch! I think I enjoyed this one as much as the original, but it’s hard to tell! I really liked the sets and the vibe the world gave off too, very grounded-futuristic!

I also liked the Arnold nod 😂 Was wondering if he’d have a cameo…

I really enjoyed the plane fight too!!

been waiting for this movie for monthsssss and the wait was worth it. so entertaining from beginning to end, the action was good but definitely could’ve been dialed up a bit more. glen was phenomenal, anger acting was on point. lee in this was sooo 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️. wish i hadn’t seen the trailer tho cause it spoiled a few scenes for me :/ the trailer was what made me wanna watch the movie tho so. highly recommend, i had a fun time watching.

I kind of liked this one better than the OG with Arnold.

good action, the dialogue was a little odd at times, as well as the acting. i didn’t love the ending, it just didn’t seem to mesh well with the rest of it. LOVED colman domingo (as always).

It was ok but it dragged in parts
