This movie is weird and gross at times but I laughed quite a bit and overall enjoyed it.

3.9 - Had to break the hot streak eventually.

This just doesn’t have much going for it outside John Lithgow acting fully unhinged & Geoffrey Rush providing a decent foil.

It never fully commits to its psych horror elements. It leaves a few unanswered or at least unsatisfactorily answered questions. It never takes its geronotophobic angles to their limits (think The Front Room). What little it does have, that pulled me in early, fizzles by the second half & then drags on down the stretch.

It’s just some mildly gross & some mildly creepy. And it’s all too easily solved if even one worker did like 20% better at their jobs.

It’s not a bad movie overall, but the script felt weak and the slow pacing made it hard to stay engaged

The entire movie I kept thinking how is it possible that such institution doesn’t have a couple of cameras outside and in the main corridors. This could’ve been solved easily watching the camera footage. I understand the message of the movie but it’s quite the plot hole.

probably the weirdest movie I’ve ever seen and i’ve said that about a lot of movies but this one takes the cake. nothing is really explained it’s just weird and crazy and gross and kinda sad to watch tbh

Meandering and largely quite boring. It’s a shame to see such talent from these performers wasted on such a lame script. Even if the concept was scary enough to carry a full film, it is completely undercut by the absolute ludicrous notion that any of this would continue past the first couple incidents. The only way this makes sense is for the entire home to be staffed by toddlers. The incompetence that we have to assume the entire has throughout the entire runtime is crazy. No security. No responding to loud noises. Brushing off every single complaint. It’s not realistic. I was begging for it to end.

The horror of being old

It started off creepy and mysterious but quickly turned into a very weird battle between two old men. I prefer lithgow as trinity, not as Jenny Pen. It has potential but it didn’t hit the mark for me.

A Psychological bore that extends its tedious abuse on the elderly to its audience.

script is a bit weak and it's core is a story we've seen before but the two leads are easy to watch and the menacing tone prevails throughout. good fun.

The rule of Jenny Pen is the craziest tale I have ever seen. The way these actors portrayed fear and genuine craziness is unbelievable. This film is more thriller than horror to me but it’s an enjoyable disturbing film.

one horrible geezer terrifying a bunch of other geezers at an old folks home

lithgow goes wild, rush is great and they’re the main reason to watch this as really only their characters get developed, some (just) kinda creepy pysch horror, unintentional comedy, general weirdness
