I genuinely wanted to like this movie because of the actress but I’m still trying to understand the point. They literally spend the entire movie bartending in the middle of nowhere and trying to evade sexual assault/harassment. I was expecting more. The dots were never connected.

I do not understand how this is classified as a thriller. Nothing happens until the last like ten minutes. Slow painful movie about two women who are horrible bartenders dealing with just as equally horrible men.

a dogshit movie.
two wholly unlikable, privileged and bland female leads with not a semblance of character development that would compel me to care about the story this movie attempts to tell. not a thriller; just 90 minutes straight of fearing they will be sexually assaulted.

A compelling thriller about Aussie assholes who don’t escalate problems as much as you’d think. It still contains 3-4 riveting performances down under.

Had potential to be great, however the ending was questionable when they set the hotel on fire if i remember correctly. Would of been better if that one guy ( cant remember his name since i watched a while back ) turned out to be a decent guy who saved the girls’ lives and left.

Literally nothing even happened the whole time? I continued to watch because I thought it would pick up at some point but it never did. I know nothing about these characters either. Also why does she get so pissy about being called sour c***???

my second time seeing this, the first being when it came out. I think would have liked more character development from the two women. The fear of the aussie men was so real. I think this is a good australian thriller, and enjoyed the aussie rock songs used

what was this movie about?
no clear points were ever made convincingly enough that anything felt important or meaningful .. director does a decent job of building up tension but it just never amounts to much .. julia garner is great too but her performance can’t quite save this

On the one hand I thought the acting was superb and the cinematography is great. But as an Australian I’m also just over every movie set here being based around these ocka stereotype characters. In saying that, I still enjoyed it overall, despite some pacing issues
