The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Transphobic. I understand that this movie came out in the late 70’s, however, the way the trans/queer characters are talked about is done in an incredibly ignorant way. Using words like “Transexual” and “transvestite.” As well as demonizing queer culture. 0/10 would not recommend

I cannot even put into words how much I love this movie. All I can say is just Frank N Furter made me feel so much safer to be trans and just different in general 🏳️⚧️❤️ I still go to midnight screenings whenever they pop up in my town!!!

fun, provocative, different, ahead of its time! not a movie for everyone, but definitely a movie that everyone must watch at least once. not only because it’s a classic, but because it makes you reflect and it leaves you with SO MANY QUESTIONS, but also hilarious memories.

Literally one of my fav movies now. It’s honestly just such iconic queer media and there’s always something to pull you in and grab you’re attention.

this was so fucking good. i usually don’t watch movie made after 1985 but this was showing at my movie theater so I HAD TO GO. watching it for the first time in the movies was the best choice i’ve ever made. obviously the glee episode is in the holy trinity of glee episode so i knew a lot of the songs and knew the general idea of the movie.
BRAD IS SO FUCKING BAD I NEED THAT IN AND OUT OF THE CORSET. he had smth abt him that i was drawn to fs. loving him horribly. the lady that plays janet is actually so fucking gorgeous. i loved her performance sooo much. and her hair was amazing i couldn’t stop looking at it. the SHOES IN THIS FUCKING MOVIE ARE UNBELIEVABLY. the shoes alone were showstopping. rocky’s body scared the shit out of me though
i can’t imagine the response the movie got during its time. ik it’s probably shit i’ve never even heard of. release a movie like this in the 70s is so brave and really telling abt why it’s still so popular today.
tim curry is an amazing actor wth. he serves method actor to me.
i won’t lie i got a wee bit confused after frankenfurter started medusafying ppl but i still really really enjoyed this. i need to know more abt the culture around the movie though. like why are we throwing popcorn and yelling

Well I’ve based my live goals around trying to give off Frankenfurter energy and I hope I’m achieving that tbh 😭 10/10 for being the best musical/ movie/ queer staple in history. Like how can you not like rocky horror, it’s filled with antici…pation! ( sorry 😔💔)

Felt like crashing the wildest glitter soaked party in another dimension. I was half confused, half mesmerized. Lots of corsets, fishnets and of course pure chaos. I couldn’t tell if it was horror, comedy, or musical theatre gone rogue and it was in 1975???
